Council Tax - Contact Us

You can use this contact us form to send an enquiry to Cornwall Council's Council Tax team. This form will only take a few minutes to complete:

  • You will need to provide a Council Tax account reference number if you have one. You can find this on your Council Tax Bill or on any other letters relating to Council Tax that we have sent you. It will be a 9 digit number starting with a '3' and will help us to ensure your Enquiry is allocated to your account quicker
  • You will also need to provide the full address of the property the enquiry relates to
  • If you need to provide a document to support your enquiry you can do so. Please make sure you have a digital copy of your document ready and that it is under 10MB
  • We aim to reply within 10 working days. At busy times it might take a little longer and we apologise for any delay

Data Protection

Cornwall Council, as the Data Controller, is committed to protecting your privacy and any personal data you provide or we collect about you will be stored securely and only used for dealing with your contact with us.

We will not use your information for any other purpose or give it to anyone else unless we are required to do so by law.

For example, we have a duty to protect public funds so we may need to use the information held about you for the prevention and detection of fraud which would require us to share it with other Council statutory services or organisations responsible for auditing or administering public funds. How long we keep your information

We will only keep your information for as long as it is required following the retention period that is set in law relevant to the processing we are undertaking for you. Once your information is no longer required, it will be destroyed securely and confidentially.

If you begin a form but do not submit it the information will be deleted after 30 days.
